Habibie & Ainun is Indonesian drama movie which was released on December 20, 2012 by a young director, Faozan Rizal. The film is based on the biography of BJ Habibie starring Reza Rahardian (Habibie) and Bunga Citra Lestari (Ainun). One of the popular romantic films most watched in theaters. This is the story of your heart when you find parts . The story of first love and last love. The story of Indonesia's third president and first lady, Habibie and Ainun.

Rudy Habibie a genius expert aircraft, while Ainun is an intelligent young doctor with a good career. In 1962, two junior colleagues met again in Bandung. Habibie fall in love with Ainun was as sweet as sugar for him, and  contrary. They were married on May 12, 1962 and flown to Germany. Ainun also believe in the vision and dream Habibie .

Strength of their love to fight and survive until established position. Bad thing suddenly appear when Ainun was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, but survived. Rudy had a big dream, devoted to the Indonesian nation with make an airplane to unite Indonesia be a reality in IPTN in 1974.

In the Indonesian crisis in 1998, Rudy was appointed to replace Soeharto. But didn’t last long because he was accused of corruption until he decided not to run for president again. And Ainun always support and be a back support . When happiness back, Ainun ovarian cancer appear more severe. Rudy tried to do everything until he had to give up hope and do when death comes.

The film managed to stir audience emotions, especially towards the end of the movie. Setting the film is also slick and detail in the past adopted a true story. Some parts of the film were also reminded of Indonesian history, political conditions in Indonesia. Indonesia can also see the German people were very respectful on the prof. Habibie, while Indonesian accusing him of corruption.

Although the acting and makeup Reza Rahardian and Bunga Citra Lestari Rahardian suitable, but they appearance when become old look less suitable. And Bunga Citra Lestari isn’t suitable for oriental Java women like Ainun. Some acting Bunga Citra Lestari less offset Reza Rahardian, although can’t said bad because in some parts Bunga is able to appear attractive.

Broadly speaking, " Habibie & Ainun " adaptation of the same titled book written by B.J. Habibie, who focuses on the love story Bacharuddin Jusuf Habibie with Hasrie Ainun Besari. Since the beginning of the film, both as predestined mate. Idiom "gula jawa, gula pasir" in this movie is enough to make us chuckle and described the character Rudy Habibie outspoken.

Overall, this film contains a very good love story because contains several messages to maintain love. With this film, we can see that true love isn’t Romeo and Juliet who tragically committed suicide to keep their love, but Habibie and Ainun who grew old together and separated by death destiny.

Film yang berdasarkan biografi B.J Habibie ini dibintangi oleh pemeran utama Reza Rahardian (Habibie) dan Bunga Citra Lestari (Ainun). Rudy Habibie seorang jenius ahli pesawat terbang, sedangkan Ainun adalah seorang dokter muda cerdas yang dengan karir yang bagus. Pada tahun 1962, dua kawan SMP ini bertemu lagi di Bandung. Habibie jatuh cinta pada Ainun yang baginya semanis gula, dan sebaliknya. Mereka menikah pada 12 Mei 1962 dan terbang ke Jerman. Ainun juga yakin pada visi dan mimpi Habibie.

Kekuatan cinta mereka bertahan dan berjuang hingga posisi mapan. Hal buruk tiba-tiba muncul ketika Ainun dinyatakan menderita kanker ovarium, namun terselamatkan. Rudy yang punya mimpi besar, berbakti kepada bangsa Indonesia dengan membuat pesawat terbang untuk menyatukan Indonesia menjadi kenyataan di IPTN tahun 1974.

Dalam krisis 1998 di Indonesia, Rudy ditunjuk menggantikan Soeharto. Tapi tidak berlangsung lama karena ia dituduh korupsi hingga ia memutuskan tidak mencalonkan diri sebagai presiden lagi. Dan Ainun selalu mendukungnya dan menjadi sandarannya. Saat kebahagiaan kembali, kanker ovarium Ainun muncul lebih parah. Rudy berusaha melakukan segalanya hingga ia harus berhenti berharap dan berbuat saat kematian datang.

Film ini berhasil mengaduk emosi penonton, khususnya menjelang bagian akhir film. Setting film juga apik dan detail dalam mengadopsi kisah nyata dimasa lampau. Beberapa bagian film juga turut mengingatkan sejarah bangsa Indonesia, kondisi politik di Indonesia. Indonesia juga dapat melihat orang-orang Jerman yang sangat hormat pada prof. Habibie, sementara Indonesia menuduhnya korupsi.

Meskipun akting dan make up Reza Rahardian dan Bunga Citra Lestari cocok, tapi penampilan mereka ketika menjadi tua kurang cocok . Dan Bunga Citra Lestari tidak cocok untuk wanita Jawa oriental seperti Ainun. Beberapa akting Bunga Citra Lestari kurang mengimbangi Reza Rahardian, walau tidak bisa dibilang buruk karena pada beberapa bagian Bunga mampu tampil menawan.

Secara garis besar, "Habibie & Ainun" diangkat dari buku berjudul sama karangan B.J. Habibie yang berfokus pada kisah cinta Bacharuddin Jusuf Habibie dengan Hasrie Ainun Besari.  Semenjak awal film, keduanya seolah sudah ditakdirkan berjodoh.  Idiom "gula jawa, gula pasir" dalam film ini cukup membuat kita tertawa kecil dan menggambarkan karakter Rudy Habibie yang blak-blakan.

Secara keseluruhan, film ini berisi kisah cinta yang sangat bagus karena mengandung beberapa pesan mempertahankan cinta. Dengan film ini, kita bisa melihat bahwa cinta sejati bukanlah Romeo dan Juliet yang tragis bunuh diri untuk menjaga cinta mereka, tapi Habibie dan Ainun yang tumbuh tua bersama-sama dan dipisahkan oleh takdir kematian.
